It has been brought to our attention that Online Media Bank through its website https://online-mb.com/ is purporting to be a licensed banking provider offering various banking products and expert financial advice from an address in Charlestown, Nevis.
The FSRC – Nevis Branch confirms that Online Media Bank has never been licensed in the Island of Nevis pursuant to the provisions of the Nevis International Banking Ordinance, Cap 7.05. Additionally, no international banking licence application has ever been submitted or received for and on behalf Online Media Bank.
Accordingly, Online Media Bank is not authorised to conduct business in or from Nevis or to hold itself out as being a bank licensed in Nevis to offer banking services in or from Nevis.
Members of the public are therefore advised to exercise caution if solicited by Online Media Bank to conduct/engage in banking business whether it be domestic or international, and to immediately report any solicitation from Online Media Bank to do business to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU-SKN) at sknfiu@gov.kn or sknfiu@thecable.net.
This advisory is being made pursuant to Section 40 of the Financial Services Regulatory Commission Act, Cap 21.10 and section 35 of the Nevis International Banking Ordinance, Cap 7.05.
