FSRC – Nevis Branch: COVID-19 Update
The Governor General, His Excellency Sir Tapley Seaton declared a State of Emergency for St. Kitts and Nevis, which took effect on Saturday, March 28, 2020 until 11th April, 2020. The State of Emergency was extended until Saturday, 18th April, 2020. By virtue of a Resolution of the National Assembly made under section 19(3) of the Saint Christopher and Nevis 1983 Constitution Order, the State of Emergency was extended for a period of six months to take effect from 18th April, 2020.
The State of Emergency restricts the freedom of movement of all citizens and residents in order to contain and control the COVID-19 virus. The FSRC – Nevis Branch office will be opened during the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm during the limited days of operation. For guidance on our operating procedures during this period, regulated entities should refer to the FSRC – Nevis Branch Updated Notice on COVID-19: Implementation of Preventive Measures – 27th March 2020.
Residents are reminded to work remotely from home, practice social and physical distancing protocols and adhere to the Emergency Powers (COVID-19) (No.7) Regulations, 2020.
